Our fleet

Built for everyone,
from the very beginning.

Every vessel in the DSA fleet has been purpose-designed for disabled sailors — not adapted, but built from scratch with accessibility at the heart of every decision.

Coming Spring 2027

The Dazcat 1500

The Dazcat 1500 will be the most accessible production catamaran ever built — the only one of its kind in the world, with accessibility designed in from the very first drawing.

15.75 metres. 8-metre beam. Capacity for 12 passengers. Ocean-going. It will double our annual capacity and open offshore sailing, multi-day voyages and competitive racing to disabled people for the first time.

£1.3m raised of our £2.5m target — 52% funded. Under construction at the Multihull Centre, Cornwall. Learn more about the Dazcat 1500.

Spirit of Scott Bader

Spirit of Scott Bader is the heart of the DSA — a 35ft purpose-built catamaran that has given over 25,000 people their first taste of ocean sailing since her launch in 2000. Named in honour of the DSA's long-term headline sponsor, she sails from Port Solent Marina, Portsmouth, delivering over 1,000 sailing places every year.

She was designed from the outset for disabled sailors. She features adapted sailing controls throughout, and carries a trained accessible sailing crew on every voyage. Whether you are sailing for the first time or returning for your tenth season, Spirit of Scott Bader is a vessel built entirely around you.

Verity K

Verity K is the DSA's 11-metre ocean cruising yacht — the first boat designed and purpose-built by the DSA to be sailed by people of any disability. She was launched by HRH The Princess Royal in 1996, marking a landmark moment in accessible offshore sailing.

Verity K is rigged for blue-water passages and extended voyages. She embodies the DSA's founding belief that disabled sailors deserve the same open-water experiences as anyone else — not just sheltered harbour tours, but real ocean sailing.
